Quick start for Threads posts

A concise reference to the downloader controls, result cards, and status messages when you already have a public Threads post URL.

Start with a post-level URL

Threads Downloader needs the address of one public Threads post. A valid link usually contains a username followed by a post code, such as threads.com/@name/post/ABC123. Profile, feed, search, and topic links do not point to one media item.

This tool does not request your Threads login and cannot open private, restricted, deleted, or otherwise unavailable posts.

Use the download form controls

  • URL field: paste the complete Threads post address here.
  • Paste: reads the clipboard when your browser allows it. You can always paste manually instead.
  • Download: checks the post and displays media currently available from it.
  • Clear: removes the current URL and result so you can start with another post.

Understand the result card

Confirm the preview matches the post you intended to check. The primary action selects the largest rendition available from that post. When alternatives exist, the quality menu lets you choose a smaller rendition that may use less storage or transfer more quickly.

Threads Downloader does not add a watermark or intentionally upscale the selected file. Branding, captions, or marks already embedded in the source remain visible.

Interpret common status messages

  • Invalid link: copy the address again from the individual post rather than a profile or feed.
  • Post unavailable: verify that the URL opens publicly in a browser without relying on your signed-in session.
  • No video found: the post may be text-only, image-only, removed, or no longer exposing a playable video rendition.
  • Temporary request problem: wait briefly and retry once. Repeated requests cannot make private or deleted media accessible.
