These terms apply whenever you use Threads Downloader, its website or its API. By using the service you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

What the service does

Threads Downloader is a free tool that reads the publicly available details of a Threads or Instagram post you link to and lets you save the media that post offers. It works only with content that anyone can already see without signing in. It does not get around privacy settings, follower restrictions, age or regional limits, or any other access control, and it cannot recover deleted posts.

Acceptable use

You are welcome to use the service to:

• save media from your own Threads or Instagram posts;
• keep a personal, offline copy of a public post to watch later;
• download content you have the rights holder's permission to use.

You must not use it to:

• repost, redistribute, sell or monetise someone else's content without permission or a valid licence;
• infringe copyright, trademark, privacy or publicity rights, or present another person's work as your own;
• harass, stalk, defame or build collections of media about a person without their consent;
• try to reach private, follower-only, age-restricted or otherwise non-public content;
• send automated or bulk requests, scrape the site, or work around the rate limit of 30 lookups per minute per address;
• use the API or download proxy for anything other than this site's downloader, or probe, overload or disrupt the service;
• break any law that applies to you.

We may block addresses or requests that break these rules, without notice.

Copyright

You alone are responsible for how you use anything you download and for getting any permission you need. Rules on personal copies, fair use and fair dealing differ between countries, so check the ones that apply to you. Not affiliated with Meta

Threads Downloader is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Meta Platforms, Inc. “Threads” and “Instagram” are Meta's trademarks and are used here only to describe what the tool works with. Your use of Threads and Instagram is governed by Meta's own terms, and it is up to you to check whether they allow third-party tools for your purpose.

Availability

The service is free and comes with no uptime promise. It relies on how Meta's websites deliver their content, which can change at any moment and break lookups until we adapt. Files larger than 512 MB cannot be passed through the proxy. We may change, limit, pause or end any part of the service at any time.

No warranty

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability or non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, time, revenue or profits, arising from your use of the service or of anything you download. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

Indemnity

You agree to cover us against claims, losses and costs that arise from your use of the service or of downloaded content, including claims that you infringed someone's copyright.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time; the date at the top shows the latest version. Using the service after a change means you accept the updated terms. Questions are welcome through the contact page, and the Privacy Policy explains how data is handled.
